Blind Guardian - A Twist in the Myth

Quando se pensa em Power Metal, Blind Guardian é certamente uma banda que logo se vem a mente.

Em "A Twist in the Mith", nota-se claramente uma tentativa de voltar as origens, já que o álbum anterior "A Night At The Opera" ficou um pouco marcado pelo exagero no experimentalismo(o que também acontece em algumas faixas de "A Twist in the Mith"). O álbum tenta seguir a mesma linha de outros dois ótimos discos da banda, "Imaginations from the Other Side" e "Nightfall in Middle-Earth".

 Fica o destaque para as faixas, inicial "This Will Never End" e final "Dead Sound of Misery". "This Will Never End" tem um trecho com vocal fantasmagórico espetacular, um belo refrão em coro, alternado com ótimos solos de guitarra e a música transmite uma sensação de agonia. "Dead Sound of Misery" inicia em um ritmo empolgante, muda para uma pegada mais lenta e termina com um virtuoso solo.

Mesmo que Power Metal não seja seu gênero preferido, vale a pena ouvir "A Twist in the Mith" é um álbum épico literalmente.
